Gifts for Art Lovers
Dec 18, 2020
(Deep breath)
We made it, guys.
2020 is almost over. And it’s more like a curse word now than of a unit of time.
The holidays are upon us and 2021 is already looking brighter.
Inspiration is a word I’ve had on my mind lately, so it felt really appropriate to create this inspiring list of gift ideas for all the artists, makers and creators on your list. Without further ado, here is the Official Hand-Selected Klutch Fine Art Top 8 Best Holiday Gifts for Art Lovers:
1. Online art classes from Skillshare
Anyone can take or teach a class in this online learning community. Go at-your-own pace or take workshops with a group of other students who share feedback and learn together.
2. Artful face masks
We’re all wearing these, right? Museums are selling art-inspired ones, thrifty folks are making and selling them online, and some designers are even selling these bad boys for over $100. My wife is partial to these reusable linen face masks from Anthropologie by textile designer Emily Daws.
3. The Artist’s Way
I don’t know if there’s any better time than now to renovate your poor, depleted creative soul with this self-help guide by Julia Cameron. The aim of the book is to “teach techniques and exercises to assist people in gaining self-confidence in harnessing their creative talents and skills.” Sign me up??
4. A digital notebook
While there’s something to be said for a good old-fashioned leather bound notebook, these new-fangled digital notebooks save paper and trees, which can only be a good thing, right?
5. Best digital pen
Digital pens are super cool and would make a great gift for anyone, really. They convert the things you handwrite or draw into digital data, which you can then use in various applications.
6. Best fountain pen
With three little kids at home, there is no shortage of colored pencils, markers and crayons in my house. But what I can never seem to find is an actual pen for grownups. This modern Pilot Vanishing Point fountain pen is something I would 100% love to have but would never buy for myself. (HINT HINT, Katie.)
7. Best watercolor set
Does it get any cuter than this handy little booklet of watercolors? My kids would love these. My wife would love this. I just love the way it reminds me of a Pantone swatch book.
8. KFA Print
This one’s obvious, right? I mean, it is my blog. My #1 print pick for holiday gifting, in the spirit of running away from 2020. 16x16. Matte photo paper. White frame. Beautiful.
There it is. My top picks for gifts for art lovers. Happy gift giving, everyone.
